I Survived My First Craft Fair!

I had no idea what to expect.....but it went well! I had a lot of positive responses and met a lot of interesting people. I can't wait to see people sporting my stuff around town. The skirts were a big hit, so I'm definitely going to focus on those for the next fair, which is the first weekend in December. Here are pictures of some of the skirts that sold. It was so hard for me to see them go! There was a Pendleton plaid I made from one of Atlin's shirts that was so sweet, but I didn't get a picture of it. It was grey, blue and black plaid wool with lace trim along the bottom. I was so jealous of the buyer!

I also sold produce bags, snack bags, magnets, purses, and earrings. Other random things made appearances, such as scarves, push-pins, legwarmers, wallets. It was a lot of work, but it was amazing to see people's enthusiasm for my work. I think I also got quite a few people thinking about plastic bags!

I think it's notable that I did not give out one plastic or paper bag! Only one person even asked for a bag,  and she didn't seem to mind when I said "sorry, no bags!" Stuff usually automatically gets bagged up, so people don't really think about whether it's a choice, or whether they actually NEED the bag, especially outside the grocery store. But the amazing thing is that when they don't automatically get a bag, they are adaptable! No bag, okay! Maybe it's really up to vendors to phase out bags.....

In any case. I think a lot of people were stoked on my stuff, and I'm stoked on that! Time to go sew some more!
